Passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 20th, 2017.
Senior officer with Canada’s Department of Employment and Immigration, and former Ambassador to Syria.
Beloved husband and best friend of 45 years to Beverley Davis (nee Roche) of Toronto, Ontario. Loving father of Kelly McConnell (Jeff) and Jennifer Schram (Peter) and dear ‘Babba’ of grandsons Liam and Noah McConnell. Survived by his mother, Drusilla Davis (Hewitt) and predeceased by his father, Brian E. Davis of Quebec City. Sadly missed by sisters Gail, Linda, Drusilla, and Sandra, brothers Gary and John, and 27 nieces and nephews.
