Carmen Choquette
March 3, 1917 - June 8, 2015
CHOQUETTE, Carmen (née Bishop)
March 3, 1917 ~ June 8, 2015
Peacefully at Laurier Manor in her 99th year. Carmen was predeceased by her parents Rosana Danis and Winfield Bishop, her husband Senator Lionel Choquette, longtime friend and companion Paul Morel, and her children Jules, Guy, Claire, and Marc. She leaves to mourn her children Lise (Jack Swan), Claude (Sandra Ross), and Julie (John Bostdorf), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carmen leaves to us a legacy of strength, independence and courage in facing life’s challenges. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Laurier Manor for their attentive care. Also, a very special thanks to granddaughters Nathalie and Mylene who brought her joy and laughter on their numerous visits. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to Rachel Boone and Francoise Sarda for their help and compassion.
Respecting Carmen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to KELLY FUNERAL HOME, WALKLEY CHAPEL (613-731-1255). As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Élisabeth Bruyère Foundation.
