Doris Daley-Ladouceur
September 14, 1928 - March 10, 2017
DALEY-LADOUCEUR, Doris
Beloved Matriarch, but so much more. A fiercely proud and strong woman who managed to see the world through her work with Foreign Affairs all while raising four daughters. From Castro to Gorbachev she shook hands with all between providing for Susan, Frances, Monica, and Mary. She found a love later in life for real estate, helping much of Aylmer into new homes. She'd be the best of friends to anyone so long as you didn't speak during Jeopardy, lest she miss an answer. She will be sorely missed by an extensive family including daughters, grand and great-grandchildren and beloved pup Fiona. We are, however, eternally grateful for the 88 years we were afforded before she passed peacefully on March 10th 2017 to become our Guardian Angel.
Wife of the late Gerard Ladouceur. Amazing mother to the late Susan, Frances (Roland), Monica (Benoit), and Mary (Cimeron). Adored grandmother of Erin (Cory), Zachary, Braeden and Keegan. Great-grandmother to Garrett and Jacob. Much loved sister of Frances Carbonette, and the late Thomas Daley.
Special thank you to the staff at Elisabeth Bruyère, in particular to Doctors Bush and Lawlor and amazing nurse Alain.
Friends may pay respects at Saint Patrick Basilica on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. In Memoriam donations to a charity of your choice is appreciated. Funeral arrangement in care of Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel, (613-731-1255).
