<div itemprop="description">Our beloved George passed away peacefully after a courageous struggle with multiple cancers on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years, Margita (nee Stolarik). Son of the late Harry and Mary Ellen Moore, and brother of James, Bernard and the late Richard. Loving step-father of the Volk brothers Chris (Christine), Mark (Bibianna), Tony (Angela) and Steve (Jodi). Proud and loving grandfather of Nikki, Malcolm, Alex, Chloe, Tommy, Timmy, Gavin, Andrew, Toby, Trevor, Callan and Cooper. <br> <br>George’s long and distinguished career in Education culminated with him becoming the Director of the Ottawa Roman Catholic School Board. Following retirement, George enjoyed many years on his farm with his family and pursuing his many hobbies. <br> <br>Father of (with the late Joan Moore), George Jr., Christopher, Sean and the late Leanne. George will be remembered by members of the Moore and Stolarik family, as well as by his many colleagues and fellow educators in the community. <br> <br>Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel (1255 Walkley Road, Ottawa) on Thursday, February 2nd, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service Friday, February 3rd to Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive, at 11 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or Hospice Care Ottawa would be appreciated.</div>
