<div itemprop="description">Croner, Betty<br> <br>Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Croner (nee McDougal) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the Late Ford Croner. Much loved mother of Christopher (Jennifer), Karen (Stephen Dulude), Heather, Marybette Riddell (Larry), Jacqueline, Frances (Robert) and the Late Fordson. Always treasured grandmother of Stephanie Dulude (Greg), David Dulude, Jason Riddell, Johnathan Riddell (Sarah), Trever Bova (Christina), Mattie Fulcher, Evan Croner (Lauren) and Christian Croner (Laura). Cherished great-grandmother of Liam, Logan, Leah, Austin, Sophie, Valerie, Christian and Kayla. Dear sister of Pat McDougal (Sue) and the Late Bob McDougal (Marilyn). Lovingly remembered by Cheryl Conn Croner, Britany and her many dear friends. She really enjoyed her visits to her friend Elka's cottage. She attended the NAC Pops Series, Holy Redeemer's BINGO and many different day adventures. She was very grateful for the Paramed home care workers, the nurses and the Gama home blood technicians especially Michael who all helped Betty maintain her independence while living at her daughter Jacqueline's home.She loved her dogs and birds and always enjoyed music. Special thanks to the staff at the Civic Hospital, Med Team 5A, who showed Betty such kindness so she was able to die with dignity as the way she lived. Those who knew her, knew her strength and the remarkable woman who lived the life she always wanted and inspired those around her to do the same. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel, 1255 Walkley Road, Ottawa, ON K1V 6P9, 613-731-1255, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Bernard Church, 1720 St. Bernard Street, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:00 a.m. Internment Pinecrest Cemetery.
