May 21st, 1930 – March 25th, 2017
Passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, with her family by her side, in her 87th year. Daughter of the late Anna and Bronislav Sowinski. Predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Daniel. Cherished mother of Maria MacLeod (Ken) and Jim. Beloved Nan of Ian and Neil MacLeod, and grandma of Amanda (Tom Fawcett). Dear sister to Anastasia, Paul, Joe, Fran, Helen, Agatha, Peter and Kaye. Sister-in-law to Bernice, Helen and Desi. She was the Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of the Queensway Carleton Hospital D4-ALC.
Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel
(1255 Walkley Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V 6P9) on Tuesday, March 28th from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday, March 29th after 10 a.m., followed by a service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Funeral Home Lounge.
