<div itemprop="description">SIMMS, William Malcolm <br> <br>95 years, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017 with his children by his side. Beloved husband of the late Mary Anne Cecilia Simms (nee Bornais) for 54 years. Cherished father of Patricia, Beverly (Dan) Hess, Michael (Colleen MacKinnon-Simms), William, Martyn, Gordon (Maggie Gomez), Anita (Raymond) Desrochers, and the late Ronald. Loving Grandfather of Michelle, Emily, Kevin, Joey, Peter, Kathleen, Alex, Ben and Alysha. <br> <br>He is survived by his siblings Betty, Ray and his sister-in-law Josephine Mullaly. Bill is predeceased by his parents William and Louise Simms and his siblings Hal (Carmel Moriarity), Jack (Mary O'Reilly), Marie, Frank, Dot (Stan Murphy), Gen (Bill Mullaly), Bob (Donna Proud), Kay (Mike McCormack), and baby Marie. He is also predeceased by his in-laws Harry Bulger, and Sarah Jane Quigley. Bill will be missed by many nieces and nephews, family and friends. <br> <br>He was a caring person who loved his family beyond words with a song in his heart. <br> <br>Special thanks to the staff and friends at The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, Dr. Uppal and Fr. Paul Tennyson. <br> <br>Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel, 1255 Walkley Road, Ottawa (613-731-1255) on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral Monday, January 23, 2017 to Holy Cross Parish for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at later date in Windsor, Ontario. <br> <br>In Memoriam donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.</div>
