<div itemprop="description">William Bryce Watson II , PEng, MSc <br> <br>Mar 27, 1926-Feb 21, 2017, 90 years old, born in Inverness Cape Breton, Nova Scotia <br> <br>Passed away after a long struggle with vascular dementia and osteomyelitis at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Center. Bill is survived by his adoring wife of 67 years, Catherine (Kaye) and children: Kathy Watson-LeBlanc (Guy LeBlanc), Lesley Watson (Brent MacInnis and Melanie MacInnis) and William (Bill) Watson III (Elise Lalonde); his grandchildren Jordan (Talitha, cherished great grandchildren Orion and Amara) and Allana LeBlanc (J-P Chaput). Predeceased by his parents William and Nel Watson, sister Bettye Colyer and brother Jack Watson (during WW2). <br> <br>Bill had a colourful career starting as a bombardier in the RCAF, and through a long design engineering career retiring from Atomic Energy of Canada to pursue a gypsy lifestyle and travel throughout North America and enjoy his own “golden pond” at White Lake for 30 years. <br> <br>His health began deteriorating and his travel days ended with the onset of vascular dementia. More recently, he developed osteomyelitis and was hospitalized Fall of 2016 at the Perley Rideau. The Watson family would like to thank the staff Gatineau 2 North, at the Perley for exceptional care and kindness throughout Bill’s illness. <br> <br>A memorial service will be held at Lupton Hall, Perley Rideau Veterans Health Center, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa at 2pm, on Sat Feb 25th, 2017. Reception will follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Perley Rideau Veteran’s Health Center Foundation. <br> <br></div>
