<div itemprop="description">TASSI, Filippo <br />(City of Ottawa &ndash; Retired 25 years) <br />Affectionately known to many as &ldquo;Pippo&rdquo;, #1 Roma Fan. <br /> <br />Peacefully in his 88th year after a brief illness on Sunday, December 14, 2014. Surrounded by his family, the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved. Beloved husband and best friend of Bianca (Pagani) for over 58 years. Devoted and loving father of Pina (Manuel Vieira), John, Sabina (Luigi Savone) and Rosetta. Cherished Nonno Pippo of Stefano, Alexander and Victoria Vieira, Alessandro and Mario Savone, Bianca and Blake Tassi-Somers. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Quintina, his brother Giuseppe, his sisters Vincenza (Luigi) and Fernanda (Suor Chiara Emanuella). In-laws Amedeo and Sabina Pagani. Brother-in-law to Rolando Pagani (Vincenza) and the late Angelo (Antonietta). He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. <br /> <br />Relatives and friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel, 1255 Walkley Road, Ottawa, ON, K1V 6P9, 613-731-1255, Thursday from 2 to 5 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday to St. Anthony&rsquo;s of Padua Church (427 Booth Street, Ottawa) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Pinecrest Cemetery.</div>
